Tom Ahlers, CPA – Consultant

Tom Ahlers joined Denman & Company more than 40 years ago and continues to share his expertise as a consultant. Tom specializes in professional services such as physicians, medical groups and other health care delivery systems relative to operational matters, strategic planning, tax consulting, growth strategies and compensation models. He has also worked with small and medium sized insurance agencies, auto dealerships, credit unions, finance companies and franchisors.

Robert D. Buckley, CPA – Consultant

After a decade of experience with both Ernst & Ernst and Peat Marwick, Bob Buckley used his extensive experience in accounting, auditing, taxation, and management consulting to form his own accounting firm, Buckley & Company. He joined us in a company merger in 2007, and today specializes in corporation, partnership, estate/gift, and individual taxation.

Dale Cremers, CPA, CFF – Consultant

Dale Cremers applies more than 40 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant where he works closely with clients in traditional accounting and tax services. Today Dale specializes in assisting insurance professionals in their investigative and settlement processes and attorneys in representing their clients in trial court litigation. Dale is experienced in the insurance appraisal processes, both as an appraiser and as an umpire. He has served as an expert witness and has rendered advice and testified in a variety of areas including bankruptcy proceedings, Department of Labor litigation, client defenses, shareholder disagreements, matrimonial disputes, and in closely held business issues. He served as past chairman of the Iowa Society’s Quality Review Executive Committee, past member of the Quality Review Committee and was a past member of the Iowa Board of Accounting Task Force. Dale holds certificates to practice in Iowa and Nebraska.

Jim Hingtgen, CPA – Consultant

Jim joined Denman & Company in 1979 and has been involved in the audit and accounting, tax, healthcare, third party cost reporting and management advisory services during that period. His experience has been primarily in working with healthcare entities, nonprofit organizations and a variety of for-profit businesses. He currently serves as a member of the Firm’s Accounting and Audit Committee.

Alan Peitz joined Denman & Company in the 2007 merger with Buckley & Company. Alan has considerable experience and expertise in tax, compilations and consulting for the real estate, aviation, farm, architecture and service areas.

A Des Moines resident for over 40 years and a CPA since 1975, Tim Rice specializes in financial reporting, income tax, and consulting services for closely held businesses and nonprofit organizations. Mark Wackerbarth, CPA, CFF, CGMA – Consultant

Joining the firm in 1976, Mark’s principal areas of practice include Auditing and Accounting and Litigation Support Services.  In 2008, Mark earned the designation of Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) and in 2012 became a Chartered Global Management Accountant, both designations from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mark’s areas of specialization include construction, healthcare and financial forensics.
