Robert D. Buckley, CPA – Consultant

After a decade of experience with both Ernst & Ernst and Peat Marwick, Bob Buckley used his extensive experience in accounting, auditing, taxation, and management consulting to form his own accounting firm, Buckley & Company. He joined us in a company merger in 2007, and today specializes in corporation, partnership, estate/gift, and individual taxation.

Dale Cremers, CPA, CFF – Consultant

Dale Cremers applies more than 40 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant where he works closely with clients in traditional accounting and tax services. Dale merged his practice with Denman & Company in 2015 and today, specializes in assisting insurance professionals in their investigative and settlement processes and attorneys in representing their clients in trial court litigation. Dale is experienced in the insurance appraisal processes, both as an appraiser and as an umpire. He has served as an expert witness and has rendered advice and testified in a variety of areas including bankruptcy proceedings, Department of Labor litigation, client defenses, shareholder disagreements, matrimonial disputes, and in closely held business issues. He served as past chairman of the Iowa Society’s Quality Review Executive Committee, past member of the Quality Review Committee and was a past member of the Iowa Board of Accounting Task Force. Dale holds certificates to practice in Iowa and Nebraska.

Philip Goldsmith, CPA, JD – Consultant

Philip Goldsmith joined Denman & Company in 2018 serving as our Director of Tax Services. He has several years of senior level experience in domestic and international tax law. He is skilled at identifying business and tax implications of a wide variety of transactions and implementing strategic planning to minimize the tax consequences. He provides tax and financial analysis to assist with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other business transactions including formation and structuring of new entities. He provides expertise in corporate, partnership, individual and fiduciary taxation and estate and family tax planning. He has also represented companies and individuals before the IRS and state tax authorities.

Robert W. Holtzbauer, CPA, CFF – Consultant

Bob Holtzbauer has more than 36 years of experience in public accounting providing audit, accounting, tax services and small business consulting to a variety of companies and organizations. Bob merged his practice with Denman & Company in 2015 and today, specializes in consulting services and expert witness testimony in the areas of fraud, bankruptcy, business relations, the sale and purchase of businesses and specialized work with insurance companies, as well as continuing audit, tax and small business services. Bob served as past chairman of the ISCPA Education Committee and ISCPA Public and Professional Relations Committee.

Alan Peitz joined Denman & Company in the 2007 merger with Buckley & Company. Alan has considerable experience and expertise in tax, compilations and consulting for the real estate, aviation, farm, architecture and service areas.
