Denman & Company’s tax department has long been a leader in tax planning and compliance. We have a constant need for exceptional talent to help us serve our clients in minimizing their tax exposure. Individuals with the appropriate background can expect to have the opportunity to advance their career with a specialization in taxation. You should expect to work with multiple clients, gaining increased exposure to various types of business operations as well as senior executives. You will be challenged to apply the concepts and principles with which you have experience as well as get introduced to new challenges.

We provide tax planning and tax compliance services to virtually every type of taxpayer entity, including partnerships, corporations, S-Corporations and others. That, with our emphasis on industry specialized knowledge and experience, allow us to be an added-value advisor to our clients. You will be responsible for a portfolio of clients and will act as the point of contact for the firm for many of those clients. You will supervise subordinates and coordinate assignments with client partners. You will be exposed to multiple types of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, construction and real estate, healthcare facilities, nonprofits and governmental entities.

You will act as part of the management of the firm, including billing, collection and project budgets and have responsibilities in identifying marketplace opportunities to grow our practice.

Seasonal Candidates

We have seasonal tax return preparation positions available from late January through April 30. The duties will principally involve tax return preparation and other compliance matters. Experienced tax return preparers will find our work environment enjoyable and flexible.

Senior Audit Professionals

At Denman & Company, subject matter expertise is key. Working directly with the partner responsible for the engagement, senior audit professionals are expected to plan, supervise and complete routine engagements. Incumbent in the supervision element is technical knowledge sufficient to direct the activities of staff accountants. Sufficient knowledge means a command of GAAP, OCBOA, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations and a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques.

In addition to technical expertise, senior audit professionals should recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients and develop quality client relationships and loyalty.
